Distribution agreements are agreements whereby the supplier provides its distributors the right (and also obliges them) to resell and distribute the relevant products or services in its own name and on its own account.

If a distribution agreement has not been recorded in writing, but the parties have done business together for a long time, there still can be a distribution agreement. If the supplier then decides not to do business anymore with its distributor and to terminate the distribution agreement, this could be wrongful. In such cases, the distributor can claim damage compensation in court.
